I ordered from Yakima and the delivery showed up exactly when they said it would. Exactly. The tracking kept updating like it should, and I didn’t have to call or chase anyone down, which makes the whole thing so much easier.

The rack feels sturdy enough, so I’ll give it credit there. But actually using it has been annoying. Tilting it is harder than it should be, and loading the bikes takes way longer than I expected. For the price and effort, I think there are probably better options out there.

I really wanted this to work better, but the wind noise was worse than I expected. Even with a normal amount of wind, not like a huge storm or anything, it picked up a lot of that whooshing sound, and it made everything harder to hear. If you're using it somewhere calm, it might be fine, but if there's any breeze at all, the wind noise can get distracting quickly.

I’ve used the Yakima a few times now to haul my kayak, and overall it does the job. Once everything is on and tightened down, it feels secure and I’m not worried about the kayak moving around. The only thing is setup takes longer than I expected, and the straps can be kind of annoying to mess with everytime. It works fine once its all set, but I wouldn’t say it’s the easiest thing to deal with for every trip.
